Sauna time!

Sauna time with a chilly dip in the Atlantic ocean in Ålesund

Triple splash!

There’s a new way to survive and thrive during the long winter in cold climates.

We have to give credit to our finnish friends, but the sauna culture has quickly spread throughout Norway the past years. Suddenly, there’s not many fjords without a floating sauna available for people to enjoy the salt water even in winter at 62 degrees north, and Ålesund is no exeption.

Svai Sauna is available for private or communal booking, and the location of Moloveien is fantastic. Large glass windows, easily accessible from the sea and with a view of both the town landmark of Fjellstua and out towards the ocean. A highly recommendable way to enjoy the area even if the weather is harsh and water is cold - it just enhances the experience when the contrast is high!

Book your sauna experience here and hope for a chilly and rainy day. We do have a few of them.
